Head over to the Denver Dweller Instagram account to enter to win two tickets to Denver Home Show 2017 by Thursday morning! The Denver Home Show starts this Friday, March 17, and runs through Sunday, March 19.
I’m super excited to check out Denver Home Show 2017 this weekend. Mostly it’s because I’m obsessed with tiny houses. It’s not just that anything tiny is somehow so much cuter (isn’t it, though?), but it’s also that I have this dreamy vision of the picture-perfect home and simpler lifestyle that I imagine comes with living in this tidy, little space. I’m sure it has a little something to do with not being able to walk through my house without stepping on a toy truck. Or an uncapped marker. Or the pants the 1-year-old keeps taking off.
Anyway, the Denver Home Show has an entire Tiny Home Village on display, and includes exhibits by locally owned Colorado companies EcoCabins (Colorado Springs), SimBLISSity Tiny Homes (Boulder), Reclaimed West (Lafayette), Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses (Durango), Rainbow Tiny Homes (Aurora), and Einstyne Tiny Homes (Brighton). If you see a woman who appears to be pretending to live in one of these houses while ignoring her husband’s attempts to corral a rambunctious preschooler and toddler…yeah, that’s probably me.
There’s going to be 400 home and design experts on hand at this year’s event, so it’s also a great time to shop, save, and plan to transform your actual home. A few more fun things to check out at the 2017 Denver Home Show…
- Fresh Ideas Design Stage: Featuring the designs of home improvement and design experts including Matt Blashaw from HGTV’s Yard Crashers, and Derek “Deek” and Dustin Diedrickson from HGTV’s Tiny House Builders.
- Sogetsu Colorado: Colorado has one of the largest schools of Ikebana, the fine art of Japanese flower arranging, and a special exhibit of 50+ arrangements, hands-on demonstrations, and workshops will be at this year’s event.
- Homegrown Marketplace: Browse the home and design goods from 30 local shops and businesses. (Plus check out more exhibitors here…a lot of locally owned businesses too!)
Plus, this Friday is Hero Day, which means all active and retired fire, police and military attend for free that day.
