What’s worth knowing this week in Denver February 2 – 8, 2018? Colorado brewers are prepping for Collaboration Fest, the crazy thing called shovel racing, and where to get the best Super Bowl deals in Denver. Plus, a few more things to know…

Oh, I am such a sucker for Southern food. I didn’t discover grits until a decade ago and now I’m convinced that they belong at every meal. And I’m excited to add the newly opening and much buzzed-about Julep in RiNo to my regular grits rounds (which currently include LOW Country, Sassafras, and Lucile’s if you’re wondering.)

Denver foodies, you need to check out this weekend’s collaboration between Urban Farmer’s executive chef Chris Starkus and Portland chef Stacey Givens.

You can now “craft your own beer adventure” at New Belgium.

Do you watch the Oscars? I must confess, I’m usually blissfully unaware that they’re even on. But, I do like to watch the films when I can. Here’s where to catch the Oscar-nominated films around Denver now.

Telluride is joining the Epic Pass for the 2018-19 ski season.

Have you heard of shovel racing? (Yikes.)

The Rockies are getting a new scoreboard.*

Should Broncos’ field just be called Mile High Stadium* (like we’ve all been doing all along)?

I think there are two types of people in this world…the ones who run marathons and the ones who believe this must be pure torture but are happy to meet you at the finish line with a beer. Clearly I fall into the latter category (though I married the former). Here are 30+ Colorado marathons this year for all you other crazies.

Denver school choice process opened yesterday…and it’s a little different this year.

Not all of Denver is pedestrian-friendly.

Madeline Albright is coming to Denver to discuss her book in April.

Are you doing anything for Super Bowl Sunday? Here’s where to score the best Super Bowl deals around town, eating in or out. And more Super Bowl deals here.

What else are you up to this weekend? A few fun options…Off the Clock: Cajun Carnival (Botanic Gardens)A Chocolate Affair (Arvada), Denver Art Museum Free Day, and the Rocky Mountain Rock, Paper Scissors Tournament (RiNo). Plus a few more things to do with the kiddos.

Enjoy the weekend!
